Banishing Cellulite From The Body
60Cellulite, for the most part, is caused by poor circulation. Some people opt for creams and massage treatments in order to rid their bodies and themselves of cellulite. Indeed, a body that is infested with ugly clumps of cellulite is not a pretty sight and persons who have cellulite often become frustrated in their efforts to solve their cellulite problem.
In addition to the usage of creams and the application of massage treatments, those who wish to banish cellulite from the body, can commit to a program of cellulite exercises. Many are unaware but the reality is that there are many cellulite exercises that an individual can do to reduce the amount of cellulite on the body and eventually drive away these lumps of subcutaneous fat once and for all.
As alluded to earlier, cellulite is caused by poor circulation. Therefore, exercises that stimulate the circulatory system within the body go a long way in reducing cellulite. Now I can hear the uninitiated asking, “What kind of exercises can I do to stimulate circulation in the body?” Well, the answer is cardiovascular exercises.
Cardiovascular exercises are the number one cellulite exercises. Cardiovascular exercises would include activities such as running, walking, jogging, swimming, skipping and basically any activity that promotes profuse sweating and an increase in the number of heart beats per minute.
When you sweat, the body actually detoxifies itself while burning fat at the same time. These processes enable the body to move trapped slumps of fat out of the body via the blood stream. It should be noted that cellulite is mainly a female problem manifesting itself mostly on the lower parts of the body. It is therefore fitting to mention which cellulite exercises can be performed to target respective areas of the body.
Swimming tends to benefit cellulite reduction on those parts of the body that are engaged during the motions of swimming. Therefore the arms, calves, hamstring and shoulders benefit greatly when one takes on an exercise routine involving swimming. Walking tends to benefit the areas of the body that swimming does but in addition, walking helps to get cellulite off of the buttocks. The same is true for treadmill work outs and bicycle riding.
Anaerobic exercises are the number two cellulite exercises. The usefulness of anaerobic exercises in the quest to reduce or eliminate cellulite, lies in the fact that building muscle is a great way to eliminate cellulite. The fact is that anaerobic exercises help to metabolise fat in specific areas of the body and in the process, converts that fat into muscle.
It should be noted that for each pound of muscle you have on your body theoretically means that your body will burn an extra 50 calories daily per pound of muscle. It therefore makes sense to do cellulite exercises that will promote the building of muscle.
Using anaerobic exercises as your cellulite exercises is a sound decision since such exercises focus heavily on the areas mostly affected by cellulite. Anaerobic exercises have been proven to be very good when targeting the buttocks, thighs and hips. You can introduce a weight machine into your anaerobic routine to zero in on the quadriceps, thighs and buttocks.
One should not think that lifting heavy weights is necessary to eliminate cellulite. What is paramount is that you be consistent in your exercise routine and do not waver. Many persons start an exercise routine and after several weeks become delinquent and inconsistent. One therefore needs to be mentally strong and committed if one wants to see results. Remember, the race is not for the swift but for who can endure it.
